Just a reminder that the Riverton Area Book Club is meeting this Saturday, Aug 22, from 10-11 am, at the Riverton Village Hall community room. The room allows for social distancing and masks are required.The book to be discussed is Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. Owens' first novel is the story of Kya and how she must learn to live in the marshlands of North Carolina, isolated from society. Not only is Owens a fiction author, she also is a zoologist and has written nonfiction books about her life as a wildlife scientist in Africa, winning her the John Burroughs Award for Nature Writing. We welcome suggestions for books to be discussed in the coming months!
