It looks like the Book Club meeting for April will be postponed til May. But that won't stop all of us from reading and listening to stories and we will have a lot to share when we get back together to discuss Becoming by Michelle Obama.

Laurie recommends: GI Brides by Duncan Barrett & Nuala Calvi, based on true stories of English girls who fell in love with American soldiers during WWII and how they assimilated in the US after the war. The second book is The Stars Are Fire by Anita Shreve. This story is based on a true story about the largest fire in Maine’s history, and how a young mother remakes her life.One result of social distancing is learning to video chat with family and friends and I recently tried Zoom. If anyone is interested in doing some "book talk" using this app let me know and we could experiment. We will have to find out how many people can participate and the time allotted (once I was cut off at 40 minutes). The person hosting the meeting sends email invites to everyone who has installed the Zoom app. Just a thought...Happy reading everyone!PammI read my first ebook: Where the Forest Meets the Stars by Glenda Vanderah. I still prefer print but I was excited to finally experience this format.
