Children's Book-Cook Club for February

The Riverton Village Library Cook-Book Club will begin meeting on Saturday, February 10th at 10:30.  We will start our year learning about Presidents and making a snack to enjoy after the program.  The Cook-Book Club will continue meeting on the second Saturday of each month through May.  Children in grades pre-k to 3rd grade are welcome to join us. Pre-registration is required and spaces are limited.  For more information call the library at 629-6353.

Tenth Annual Riverton Village Library Triva Night

The Tenth Annual Riverton Village Library Trivia Night will be held on March 3, 2018 at the Riverton Knight of Columbas Hall.  Doors open at 6:00 pm and the games begin at 7:00 pm.  The event will include Basket Raffles, 50/50 Raffle, a silent auction and refreshments.  Door prizes will be awarded.  Tickets are $10.00 per person with a limit of 10 per table.  Call Brenda Kelley at 629-9018 to reserve a table.

Happy New Year, fellow readers! We are off to our 11th year of reviewing books with the January selection of Murder on the Orient Express, by Agatha Christie. If you haven't read it yet you still have time: it's a pretty fast read.  This novel, featuring the Belgian detective Hercule Poirot, was first published in the United Kingdom in 1934.Agatha Mary Clarissa Miller was born in 1890 in southwest England (her father was an American!). She married aviator Archie Christie in 1914 and started writing detective novels during the First World War.
