Book Club February 18, 2017

We had almost complete attendance this morning for a comprehensive discussion of Summer Before the War. The story's look at the social divisions in England around the time of World War I reminded us of  Downton Abbey.

February's book, All the Light We Cannot See, by Anthony Doerr, takes us to World War II and how it determined the lives of two young people: a blind French girl and an orphan German boy. Their two lives are running parallel in alternating chapters until they finally intersect at the end of the war.
