Book Club Feb. 15th

Hi, Everyone,

The Riverton Area Book Club is meeting this Saturday, Feb. 15, at 10am to discuss Slightly South of Simple. The discussion will be held at the Riverton Library.

If you have suggestions for next month please bring them along!  March is our anniversary month so we may discuss whether we should make the meeting more festive.

Book Club - February 15th

The Riverton Area Book Club will meet on Saturday, February 15, to discuss Slightly South of Simple by Kristy Woodson Harvey.  This book, published in 2017 and approximately 350 pages, falls in the genre of contemporary romance and is the first in the Peachtree Bluff Series. It has a coastal Southern setting and explores the bonds between sisters and mothers/daughters. The author has been published in numerous publications and is also a founder of Design Chic, an interior design blog.

Book Club - Jan 18, 2020

The Riverton Area Book Club is meeting Jan 18, 2020, at the Riverton Village Library (10-11 am) to discuss What She Knew, by Gilly Macmillan. Eight-year-old Ben completely disappears on a walk in the park with his mother Rachel. What follows is a description of the desperate attempts by the police to find him, the fickle role of the media, and surprising reactions from family members all rolled into a page-turning psychological thriller.

Book Club - November 16 and January 20th

The Riverton Area Book Club will meet Saturday, November 16, to discuss Restart, by Gordon Korman, the bestselling author of The 39 Clues and Swindle series for teens. This novel was chosen to bring adult awareness to the topic of school bullying, a topic highlighted in October (Bullying Prevention Month). Chase Ambrose wakes up with amnesia after suffering from a head injury due to a fall.  He doesn't remember anything about his life, particularly what a bullying person he was as a sports standout in high school. Now he has a chance to change that description.
